Scope

The main target of the IEEE East-West Design & Test Symposium (EWDTS) is to exchange experiences in the field of design, design automation and test of electronic circuits and systems, between the technologists and scientists from Eastern and Western Europe, as well as North America and other parts of the world, The symposium aims at attracting attendees especially from the Newly Independent States (NIS) and countries around the Black Sea and Central Asia.

EWDTS 07 received over 150 paper submissions from 25 countries. The technical program contains a selected set of paper and poster sessions, an introduction to the Cadence Academic Network, in addition to Plenary and Invited Presentations to include (but not limited to) the following world renown speakers:

The symposium takes place in Armenia, where Noah’s Arc landed. The capital city, Yerevan, is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world and is surrounded by ancient monuments and beautiful nature. Besides being famous for its cognac and nice sunny autumn, Yerevan is a city of science, culture and high tech R&D.

Social Program

The Social Program of the Symposium includes a visit to the historic Etchmiadzin Monastry and Garni/Geghart, as well as a city tour of Yerevan. In addition, there are two optional one-day trips to Khor Virab/Noravank, and Lake Sevan.
